The Model Work Health and Safety Act (the Model Act) contains a number of provisions designed to provide a framework for ensuring that there is compliance with the safety legislation at all levels.

The Model Act, in Pt 12, not only sets up a mechanism for ensuring compliance with the safety requirements, but also makes provision for both internal and external review of decisions by inspectors and for external review of decisions of the regulator.
