The Model Work Health and Safety Act (the Model Act) contains a number of provisions designed to provide a framework for ensuring that there is compliance with the safety legislation at all levels.

The Model Act (Pt 4) sets up a mechanism for requiring special authorisation for certain types of:

  • workplaces;

  • plant;

  • substances; or

  • work.

In addition, this Part makes provision for prescribed qualifications or experience for certain types of work.

See WHS authorisations.
