Abstract:
Former Albury mayor, Amanda Duncan-Strelec has been found guilty of four charges of contempt of court following dispute with Thomas Richard Tate, mayor of the Gold Coast in respect of commercial project to develop land. The New South Wales Supreme Court found beyond reasonable doubt, that Duncan-Strelec was the account owner of the Go Fund Me website and the Reprobate website which was published in a manner calculated to exact a reprisal against Tate for successfully defending earlier court proceedings with aim of lowering authority of Court and to impair public confidence in the Court.
