Abstract:
The Federal Court of Australia (FCA) has granted various media companies and journalists' application for suppression order for the safety of the proposed witnesses and their families against anonymous email and vitriolic and concerning comments made on the internet. The FCA ruled that there was sufficient risk of threats to, or intimidation of, the proposed witnesses in proceedings should the witnesses' identity be revealed.
