Abstract:
The Federal Court of Australia has declared invalid the ex parte order made by the South Australia Magistrates Court requiring the applicant to provide a constable with passwords for his phone where that phone had been seized pursuant to a warrant. White J found that the order was, in a number of respects, affected by jurisdictional error.
