Abstract:
The High Court of Australia has held that (NR) Refugees Convention Act 2012 s 31(5) applied only to persons who had been given a 'Refugee Determination Record' which was confined to a document issued under s 6(2A) and that neither such provision nor the definition of Refugee Determination Record was given retrospective effect.
