Abstract:
A woman has succeeded in defending her acquittal for the charges of murder or manslaughter for the death of a co-participant in the manufacture of commercial quantity of methylamphetamine when a fire broke out in their ad hoc methylamphetamine laboratory. The majority of the High Court of Australia found that the death of the co-participant did not fall under (NSW) Crimes Act 1900 s 18.
